I would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Lighthouse Team - Geoff, Dulcie Brianne and Rex in facilitating my recent home purchase. It is certainly a very proud moment for me for as a man in his mid forties, this is my very first home.

Geoff has known me for many years and I have often had his boat in my shed at the Marina doing additions and alterations. Geoff first talked to me about finding a home some seven years ago and while I showed little interest he kept his eyes open for me.

Last year, my close friend and now partner started seriously looking at purchasing [a property] and spent three months in the process only to find homes that were close to what we wanted but just out of our price range. in November, we gave the idea away.

In the meantime, Geoff and Rex got together and formed Lighthouse Real Estate, which by coincidence is based in my former company office in the retail complex at Pine Harbour Marina and by February [2006] was up and running.

In February this year I returned from a two week trip to the United States and had been back at my rented house less than an hour when Geoff and Dulcie walked by on their usual morning beach stroll, Geoff announcing that he had found my house.

Some hours later we went to have a look and he was absolutley right. I knew instantly this was the house for me. He had tuned into my boatbuilding and nautical background and had found a house that contained many nauitcal features.

Geoff then went to work doing what he does best and before the week was out the deal was done with both [contracting] parties happy with the outcome.

I want to pay a special tribute to Geoff. It took seven years, but he found the right house for us. His professional attitude really impressed me as does the rest of the team. The process was seamless and stress free and as a result made the experience a pleasant one for someone who has never been a home owner or even had a rates bill.

I am also particularly thriiled to be the first house sale for The Lighthouse and their company will be the one when it is time to look for my next purchase.
