Real estate has been in Rex's blood since he was a small boy. With his father (Geoff) firmly entrenched in the business Rex grew up with it and at age 17 sat his real estate exams.

Having being taught by his Dad he went on to become Geoffs PA. After a six month qualifying period Rex progressed to be Geoffs partner. Together they have forged an enviable father/son partner relationship and when applied to project marketing of real estate, clients learn just how smooth and successful this unique arrangement is.

Rex's technical expertise merge in syncronicity with his flair for marketing whilst maintaining client communication and feedback that is created when establishing Vendor and Purchaser relationships.

Negotiating is a skill he learned from his Dad at a young age and is one which he has customised and perfected to match his upfront and professional approach when dealing with a sale.

Rex has spent a brief period away from the company during 2010 and 2011 where he spent his time further honing his business and managerial skills courtesy of a posting with the corporate team at Ray White New Zealand, where he was employed as a Business Development Executive for the Franchisor. The role covered all Auckland and Northland offices and took him accross the country and beyond to Australia on numerous occasions.

Returning to his own family business in July 2011 was inevitable and was further prompted by the arrival of Rex and Brie's first born daughter Kaelin in March 2011.

Rex really enjoyed his time with Ray White and has formed some very strong bonds with many of the people within that organisation. This strong alliance affords Lighthouse's customers and clients an extension of a powerful business network when looking to buy and or sell outside of the area that Lighthouse covers.

Predominantly behind the scenes, Rex really enjoys meeting with past and present clients to reveal the business and marketing edge that Lighthouse has to offer, whilst steering the business towards an unmatched service offering for Pohutukawa Coast home owners.
